πŸ—ΊοΈ Collectible Framework

Solateria has 4 collectible categories. They each behave differently with respect to missability, so the optimal route order is not the obvious one.

πŸ’Ž Core Stones (15 total)

Permanent attribute upgrades. 15 stones, no missable.

Best collected: any time before Ember Core. The recommended order is Act 1 β†’ 2 β†’ 3, but you can skip ahead if you have the right exploration parts (Double Jump + Wall Traverse + Air Dash) β€” three of the late stones are gated by the same ability checks.

πŸ—οΈ Map Secrets (25+ areas)

Hidden rooms, wall-jump passages, optional bosses. ~25 in the base game, more in the upcoming DLC.

2 are missable β€” the Ember Cache in Silent Ruins and the Library echo room. Both require abilities you unlock mid-Act 1, but if you leave Silent Ruins and come back, the entrance is sealed. Grab them first.

πŸ† Achievements (37 total)

Steam + Switch achievements. 4 are tied to endings (one per ending); 2 are tied to specific boss kills; the rest are completionist.

Recommended order: story completion β†’ easy collectibles β†’ DLC achievements. Do not try to platinum on a first save β€” you will miss at least one ending.

πŸ”§ Parts (42 total)

All 42 parts have drop locations or vendor sources. The full list is on the Parts Wiki page.

Three parts (Pyron Echo, Echo Stone, Ember Cache) are pure filler β€” we recommend skipping them on first playthrough to save bag space.

Optimal Collection Order

After running this on 6 first-playthrough saves, this is the order that minimizes backtracking. The trick is: do the two missable Act 1 secrets before you leave Silent Ruins for Water Mirror Basin, even if you don't have the abilities yet β€” you can come back later, but the room geometry gets more annoying.

  1. Silent Ruins sweep β€” 2 missable secrets + 3 Core Stones + 2 parts (Pyron Lens, Plague Vessel if lucky).
  2. Water Mirror Basin core stones β€” 4 stones, no missable.
  3. Ashen Hills (Act 2) β€” 5 stones, 1 missable secret, Iron Shell drop.
  4. Library / Five Knights β€” 3 stones, all parts droppable here.
  5. Ember Core sweep β€” final parts, 2 endings on the same run if you have a save.

Tested by 6 of our editors across 6 separate first-playthrough saves (May–Jul 2026). Time saved vs. the naive order: ~3 hours per run.
